Speed Online Workshop “The Landscape of Post-PhD Career Tracks” (Full Version, 120 – 180 min)

There is a growing disparity between the number of new PhD graduates and available faculty positions — effectively, most of the PhD graduates need to find jobs outside academia. The good news is: multiple skills unique to academics are essential for success in the open job market of today. Our mission is to empower PhD candidates and graduates, and give them motivation and inspiration necessary to launch new careers and rock in the open job market.

This workshop for PhDs and postdoctoral researchers is an intensive and entertaining group training focused on introducing the job market for PhD graduates. In the workshop, we go through the various ways of creating value in the job market and the main types of working environments in today’s job market (a.k.a., tribes) and their characteristics. We also review the general strategies for how you can land a job in these tribes. The workshop is highly interactive, dynamic, and contains quizzes and live discussion with the audience.
